POV: It’s 2021 (kinda) post-pandemic. You’re itching for a career change to become a wedding planner.

While residing in the Bay Area of California, I harbored a deep-seated desire to establish my venture, yet the path forward remained uncertain. Over nearly a decade working in the service industry in San Jose, I found myself increasingly drawn to the realm of wedding planning. Determined to gain firsthand experience, I diligently pursued opportunities in various venues and assistant coordinator positions.

Eventually, my perseverance paid off as I secured a role as an Assistant Coordinator, collaborating closely with a seasoned planner. This experience provided me with invaluable insights into the intricate mechanics of event planning, solidifying my passion for the craft. With each event, I honed my skills, swiftly transitioning to lead weddings autonomously and nurturing my hunger for further knowledge.

Following three enriching years encompassing Venue Management, Lead Planning & Design, and a relocation to San Diego, I have reached a pivotal juncture in my journey. It is with great excitement and unwavering dedication that I embark on the exhilarating endeavor of founding my own business. The joy of pursuing my true passion, fostering meaningful connections with clients and fellow vendors, and assuming the helm of my enterprise is truly unparalleled.
